Biography
Michael Cuches is a respected trial attorney recognized for his skill in the courtroom, knowledge of the law, and tireless work ethic. With broad experience as a judicial law clerk, prosecutor, and private attorney, Mr. Cuches analyzes legal issues from all sides to represent his clients most effectively.
Originally from Wellesley Hills, Massachusetts, Mr. Cuches began his Maryland legal career when he was appointed as the Judicial Law Clerk in the Circuit Court for Queen Anne’s County. Following his clerkship, Mr. Cuches served as an Assistant State’s Attorney, and later, was appointed to serve as Deputy State's Attorney.
During his years as a prosecutor Mr. Cuches handled thousands of cases before judges and juries, including DUIs, criminal misdemeanors and some of the most serious felonies in Juvenile, District, and circuit courts.
Mr. Cuches was also a partner at Buck, Migdal & Cuches, Chartered where he represented businesses and individuals in multi-party complex litigation and personal injury claims, as well as advised businesses regarding daily management, human resource issues, contracts and litigation.
Mr. Cuches’ successful litigation practice earned him the respect of his peers as demonstrated by his receiving the honors of being named a “Leading Lawyer in Criminal Defense” by What's Up Magazine in 2012, and a Rising Star in Civil Litigation in 2014 and 2015 by Super Lawyers Magazine and published in Baltimore Magazine.
Mr. Cuches is an active member of the community and belongs to the Queen Anne’s County Bar Association, previously serving as its Vice President from 2017-2018 and as its President from 2019 - 2021. Mr. Cuches was also an adjunct professor at Washington College where he taught Business Management - The Legal Environment of Business.
